Cabeólica was invited by the United Nations to speak at the launch of the Carbon Neutral Now initiative, which took place on September 22 at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Cabeólica was represented by Ana Monteiro, the Head of the Environment, Social and Administrative Department.

Drawing Contest Award Ceremony

The awards in the drawing contest carried out as a part of the Nós Somos Energia (We Are Energy) educational program were made public at the ONDS in Mindelo, Cabo Verde on June 22. The drawing contest award ceremony was attended by students, teachers, administration, parents and the local Education Ministry delegate.

Eolo Project Begins in Mindelo

“Nós Somos Energia” (“We Are Energy”) is an educational program that began on March 2 with some 80 4th-grade students from the Mestre Baptista school in Chã de Monte Sossego and the Ribeira de Calhau Educational Post, on the island of São Vicente. The program has subsequently been extended to other cities and islands in Cabo Verde.

United Nations includes Cabeólica in CDM
